Dan Pribanic

Dan Pribanic

Dan Pribanic started fishing at a very young age and never really stopped. Starting with spinning rods and bait, his fishing began to evolve and eventually he took up fly fishing. He has fished all around the country, Mexico, and the Bahamas, in both fresh and saltwater and says his favorite type of fishing is whatever he happens to be doing at the time. His experiences with many different types of tackle and the variety of species and waters he has fished have helped to make him a great angler and even better guide. His 35 years of fishing and 15 years of guiding have also helped to make him a great instructor/teacher as well and is equally comfortable with newer anglers as well as the more experienced. A day with him will help make you a better caster and fisherman, learning techniques you can take with you and apply on your home waters.

Mike Kainec

Mike Kainec

Growing up in and around his dad's fishing business and after 20 years as a long-time flyfishing [aficionado] a'fish'ianado, Mike "that fly guy" has matured into an outstanding angler, fly tyer, and guide. Mike basically eats, sleeps, and breathes fishing. He's passionate, enthusiastic (to say the least), and a consummate professional. Mike has an uncanny way of finding and catching fish for his clients. Whether fishing for carp in the canals or steelhead and smallies in our rivers, Mike can tailor any fishing experience to your angling needs. A day spent on the water with Mike will be a day to remember!

Justin Pribanic

Justin Pribanic

Justin Pribanic grew up fly fishing in Pennsylvania with his family. He got his start at the age of 12 with trout, and quickly moved on to smallmouth, steelhead and more. He caught his first great lakes steelhead over 20 years ago, and still enjoys sharing this passion for them today. Justin has worked with Chagrin River Outfitters seasonally since the shop opened its doors in 2006. Justin is a licensed and insured full time guide and USCG certified captain. Justin has guided from Massachusetts to Michigan for everything from striped bass to smallmouth. While Justin enjoys all aspects of Steelhead fishing, his true passion is pursuing them with the swung fly. Both new and experienced anglers can benefit from a day on the water with Justin while he shares his techniques and approach gathered from guiding multiple species and watersheds. He is a true Professional, an artist of his craft, and a wonderful teacher of all things fly fishing.

When not on the water Justin can often be found tying flies, a passion equal to that of his for fishing. He is a Renzetti and RD fly fishing ambassador. He has had his fly tying work featured in numerous publications. Most recently his work was featured in “Modern Steelhead Flies”.

Justin currently splits his time between guiding Steelhead with Chagrin River Outfitters and running float trips in Western Pennsylvania for both Smallmouth and Trout.

Mike Goffos

Mike Goffos

Growing up in Northeast Ohio Mike began chasing Steelhead at the age of 12. For the past 8 years he’s been fishing/guiding his way around the country, from Ohio to Michigan and Montana to Alaska. There’s even rumors he fished the Tigris River in Iraq! Mike loves nothing more than floating down the river with anglers. He has plenty of experience in the rowers seat, cutting his teeth on the Yellowstone & Bighorn Rivers of Montana and guiding week-long wilderness floats on the remote Holitna River in Alaska. Mike enjoys Fishing with anglers of all skill levels but especially enjoys fishing with kids. “Being a father of 4” he has plenty of patients for it! Spending a day on the river with Mike is one you won’t soon forget.

Cole JaskiewiczCole Jaskiewicz

Growing up in north east Ohio Cole began his love for fishing at a young age. He spent his early years with his father and grandfather in the streams and lakes of Western PA. He started his guiding career out of college at Chagrin River Outfitters as well as guiding backcountry float trips in Alaska. Expect to see Cole on his raft going down the number of steelhead rivers we have to offer in the area. He finds the most enjoyable days on the water are with people who have never touched a fly rod before. He puts a lot of effort into all aspects of making sure that clients have a memorable day on the water. Cole has turned his life long passion for fly fishing and fly tying into a career and is on the water any chance he can get. Expect an incredible day when you get out on the water with Cole!

Anthony Miller

Anthony Miller

A Northeast Ohio Native, Anthony grew up fishing ponds with his grandfather for bass an exploring the creeks around his house. He discovered steelhead and fly fishing in his high school days and never looked back. In his free time, you can find him on the water exploring or tying flies for the next adventure. Anthony enjoys fishing for “anything that swims”, as he likes to say, but has an affection for watching a streamer disappear into a fish’s mouth. Anthony spends the warmest parts of our summers up in Alaska guiding for salmon and wants to make sure everyone has a unique experience on the water.

Bob Ward

Bob Ward

A Northeast Ohio native Bob has been steelheading longer than most. He knows the best runs, holes, cuts, and riffles to swing a fly or dead drift egg patterns in search of Lake Erie Silver. When you're on the river with Bob expect a lesson in steelheading and a good honest day of fishing. While Bob understands its not always about catching that doesn't mean he isn't going to give it 110% every day. Bob is fluent in all forms of steelheading and is most comfortable with anglers who have a little experience with the long rods. When not on the Lake Erie tribs chasing silver Bob enjoys trout fishing in Pennsylvania, bonefishing in the Bahamas, and exploring the Florida coastline.
